Black History Month October 2009
For Black History Month this year, the Trust will be helping the Multiple Heritage Project to run two events:
Mix-d: uk national conference
Mix-d: uk national conference is bought to you by Manchester based Multiple Heritage Project. This event is the first of its kind in the UK which explores issues related to individuals from mixed-race backgrounds. Young people from across the country will attend the event and feedback their thoughts and ideas to local and national policy makers.
Lancashire County Cricket Club

9.30am to 4pm.

Mix-d: uk - A Look at Mixed Race Identities
Faces of British mixed-race identity are celebrated in a new publication launching within Black History Month. Mix-d: uk has been put together by Bradley Lincoln, founder of the Multiple Heritage Project, whose social enterprise project explores contemporary mixed race realities and experiences.
The launch takes place at Manchester Urbis, on Sunday 26th October, between 6-8pm. Everyone is welcome subject to booking via Emily@multipleheritage.co.uk, or 0796 663 2841
