22 June

Windrush Day (22 June) celebrates the anniversary of the arrival of HMT Empire Windrush in Britain on 22 June 1948. We recognise that while the Empire Windrush is the best-known of the ships which carried migrants to Britain from the Caribbean, there are many more stories of African-Caribbean migration from that generation.
