Outside of these hours you can still access our library and borrow loanable books whenever Manchester Central Library is open, but please note that our local history material, oral histories and other primary resources will not be available.

Sadly there is no parking here at the library. This means that the nearest parking is Central Street. Full information on city centre parking can be found here
We are in the heart of Manchester and as such you should be able to get to us relatively easily on public transport. The GMPTE journey planner can help you plan your visit GMPTE Journey Planner.
Manchester Piccadilly and Manchester Victoria are the nearest train stations which national services would use. There is a free bus service (MetroShuttle) which brings you from both of these stations to the town centre. Manchester Oxford Road serves local trains and is a short walk away from the library. St Peters Square Metrolink stop is also on our doorstep.
