Your Voice, Your Education: Shaping Inclusive Educational Resources

Are you passionate about creative learning and making sure education reflects the real experiences of diverse local communities? We are inviting young people aged 12-18 to join us on Wednesday 29th October 2025, 1pm-4pm at Manchester Central Library, Digital Exhibition Space for an interactive event where you will explore material in the exhibition space and respond to educational resources centred on the voices, experiences, histories, and activism of global majority communities in Greater Manchester.

Through discussions and hands-on creative activities, you will engage with material that spotlight local individuals and movements often left out of mainstream education. From activist posters, to exploring diverse community stories and learning about local activists, this is a chance to learn differently and make your voice heard.

Your feedback will directly contribute to a youth-led set of recommendations aimed at improving how schools and educators use these resources. We are not just asking for your opinion, we are inviting you to shape something that could impact how future learners connect with their own histories and communities.

Refreshments will be provided, and all participants will receive a £20 voucher as a thank you.

Please note that this session will be filmed. To participate permissions are required and a consent form must be filled out by parents or carers. If you do not want to be filmed but still want to participate, please include it in the participation form you will receive once you have booked.

Spaces are limited, so don’t miss out! Book your place now via: https://YourVoiceYourEducation.eventbrite.co.uk

Bring your ideas, creativity, and perspective to help reimagine what inclusive education can look like.
