Black histories of Cheetham Hill

Parise Carmichael-Murphy is an educator, researcher, and community historian whose work focuses on Black history and Black women’s activism. Drawing on archival research and oral histories, Parise developed Black Histories of Cheetham Hill to honour the contributions of Black communities, and highlight the rich cultural, political, and social legacies rooted in the streets of North Manchester.
